Neda's Eyes & BMI panel discussion

Join Sussan Deyhim for the World premiere of Neda's Eyes at the Woodstock Film Festival on Oct 1, 2010
- NEDA'S EYES (WORLD PREMIERE/World Cinema) -

Last year the world's attention was captured by the tragic killing of Neda Agha-Soltan, an iconic, young martyr of the Iranian election protests. A non-violent protester shot by the Iranian government on June 20th, 2009, her face became an icon for the world peace movement. This short film beautifully depicts her sacrifice and the struggle of non-violent protest in Iran. This short screens before Sounds Like a Revolution.

SUSSAN DEYHIM AT THE BROAD - PANORAMIC
By Ameeta Nanja

"Trailblazer Sussan Deyhim pulls together yet another captivating performance. Cyber-shamanic-super diva, SD doesn't cease to amaze. She carried us tenderly, yet rigorously through September 11, two thousand and ten weaving a sensitive, accessible, fearless, sound tapestry. SD forges unmarked paths through the wilderness revealing new, mythical, sensual, voice landscapes and elastic sounds stretching across vast oceans, earth, fires and skies, rooted in profound perennial traditions. A breath of fresh air SD is, in this tumultuous age. With every mood, move, gesture, sound alchemist SD continues to mesmerize, seduce, fascinate, empower, enchant... An original...what to say!"
