Woodstock Film Festival

Join us for the World premiere of Neda's Eyes Video at the Woodstock Film Festival on Oct 1 followed by Sussan Deyhim's performance at the Colony Cafe.

- NEDA’S EYES (WORLD PREMIERE/World Cinema) -
Directed by Planet Pictures. Last year the world’s attention was captured by the tragic killing of Neda Agha-Soltan, an iconic, young martyr of the Iranian election protests. A non-violent protester shot by the Iranian government on June 20th, 200, her face became an icon for the world peace movement. This short film beautifully depicts her sacrifice and the struggle of non-violent protest in Iran. This short screens before Sounds Like a Revolution.

Beshno Az Ney

Sussan's composition "Beshno Az Ney" is still on U2's 360 international tour. Thanks to U2 for their continuous support and solidarity with the freedom fighter in Iran.






In Pre-Production

Currently Sussan is working on "The House Is Black," a media opera based on works and life of literary icon Iranian contemporary poet Forough Farrokhzad. On this project Deyhim collaborates with the brilliant Iranian writer, scholar, activist Azar Nafisi and award winning director David Schweizer and long time collaborator co-composer Richard Horowitz. The development phase of this project has been made possible by The Farhang Foundation.
